Healing Power of Nature meadow

An ongoing, conscious connection to nature is a powerful antidote for stress

Getting in touch with the energy of the current season is one way to begin to connect to the healing power of nature.

Take a moment to tune into the season where you are. Not just the weather, but the season it represents. How does it affect you?

Establishing a conscious connection to the natural world can help you regenerate, restore, come into balance, and gain clarity.

Here are 5 steps you can take to integrate the power and beauty of nature into your own life:

Step 1) Set an intention to allow yourself to be supported by the natural world.

Tune in within yourself, right now, to the idea of letting yourself be supported by nature.

When I tune in, I get a sense of being grounded, while at the same time experiencing expansion. Get a sense of what being supported by the natural world would mean to you.

Begin to create a conscious relationship with nature by stepping outside--even if it's just for a few moments--before you start your day in the morning, and then again in the evening.

Step 2) Become aware of the phases of the moon.

During the time that you step outside in the evening, stop and connect with the beauty of the moon. Open yourself to the energy of nature as you notice the moon's shape and its placement in the night sky.

Step 3) Begin to notice places where you can connect with nature.

This will naturally follow your decision to create a conscious relationship with nature, but you can also actively seek out small elements of nature that you may have been passing by. Begin to notice where you can connect with nature--in small ways and large ways.

Even if you live in a city, you can always find small pockets of the natural world around you. If you live in the country, begin to truly connect with the energy of nature that you have been taking for granted.

Step 4) Make spending time connecting a nature a priority.

This involves recognizing its value. Look at time spent connecting with nature the same way you would look at vitamin supplements, or food--as something you need to feed you.

Instead of thinking of it as a luxury, see it as a priority. Begin to schedule regular time with nature into your days, weeks, and months.

Step 5)
Watch, as your relationship with nature unfolds in
its own unique, beautiful way.

Once you are attuned to its energy and its power, you will begin to find it everywhere.

The more time you spend connected with nature, the more you will feel connected to your own wisdom, your own strength, and your own beauty.

It will support you in everything you do.
